Durham Juneteeth
AAAA booth exhibit at 4th annual Juneteeth family celebrations and March in Durham; AAAA Public Relations distributed HIV/AIDS literature, signed-up registrants for SISTA and mailing list. Booth attracted youth and adult total target of 200.

AAAA partners with WEAPON OF GOD MINISTRIES
On Saturday June 7, AAAA partnered with the Weapon of God Ministries to present a youth gospel hip-hop show including mime skits to address youth consciousness in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The highly spirited event was held at Glorious Church on Glasscock Street. At the end of the program, Weapon of God Ministries donated $56.08 to assist AAAA's outreach work.
Mr. Brandon Cook (aka G-Rane) organized a group of talented young artists (from Durham, Raleigh and Smithfield) to showcase hip-hop gospel articulating responsibility and values as self-management skills for the youth to overcome drug addiction and fornication-all
Leading to STDs and HIV infection. The performing artistes included Daunte Tyler, Scion, Amos, Breezy, GC Master Mimes, and yours truly, G-Rane. The program was hosted by Bro. Pharaoh.
Pastor Darrel Davis lifted his message from the Book of Romans and challenged the youth to obey God's commandment to avoid the HIV/AIDS infection. Touching on drugs, pornography, manufactured material things (jewelry, fancy cars, flashy clothing, etc.) motivated by crime and greed as diversions from path of God, he posed the question, "What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world, but loose his soul?" God and his commandments to humans is the path to good life and salvation.
Mrs. Carine Siltz, AAAA founder and executive director, spoke on HIV/AIDS and youth abstinence explaining the importance of ABC project, AAAA works and need for the youth to be involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS. She emphasized AAAA's SISTA training program as an effective empowerment tool for youth to resist peer pressure. Combining abstinence and the knowledge from SISTA are excellent models to win fight against HIV, STDs and teenage pregnancies. AAAA distributed literature on HIV/AIDS and the latest research materials on women & HIV, drug use, STDs and preventing teenage pregnancies.
AAAA media personnel (Mr. Mali) also recorded program as part of its prevention education TV show on Raleigh television network (Cable Channel 10) themed "Churches in Fight Against AIDS". Mr. Vincent Payne, AAAA Public Relations, took event photos. AAAA will partner with Weapons of God Ministries for future fundraising activities.
AAAA Director, Mrs. Siltz, thanked Mr. Cook, Pastor Davis, church family and all the artists w ho donated time and talent for a successful event. AAAA also thanked OMHHD's memorial fund, Office of Women Health, Walmart and Catholic Diocese of Raleigh for support in the outreach work to save lives by ending health disparities in the community.

YWCA and NBC-TV 17 Health Expo
Mrs. Carine Siltz, AAAA founder, manned AAAA booth exhibit at YWCA health fair. HIV/AIDS literature was passed out to participants.
Target participant was 50.
Mr. Vincent Payne AAAA public relations set up and operated AAAA booth at the annual NBC-TV 17 NC Health Expo. The health expo featured area healthcare delivery organizations, hospitals, pharmacies, clinics and community based healthcare advocacy groups. Health expo provided free screenings - Glaucoma, Diabetes, vision/blood pressure tests, colon and prostrate examinations etc. Free drug samples and edible snacks were given away. The two day Health Expo attracted 20,000. AAAA booth exhibit distributed HIV/AIDS and STD literature, signed up visitors for mailing list and volunteers. AAAA conducted on site survey for health expo evaluation and HIV/AIDS awareness. Target participant was 700.

AAAA HOSTS RTN-TV (cable 10) SHOW
Prevention education on HIV/AIDS is the first line of defense in fight against HIV pandemic and is also the principal goal of AAAA TV show on Raleigh television network shown on Mondays and Saturdays at 6:30pm. Mrs. Carine Siltz, AAAA CEO and Mr. Franck Mali are producers of the show which started early April.
The AAAA prevention education covers:
a. Gender and ethnic pride enriching consciousness.
b. HIV/AIDS education (everything you need to know about pandemic)
c. Assertive skills training to enhance confidence.
d. Behavior self-management training to boost self-esteem.
e. Coping skills for a balanced caring personality.
AAAA 's first TV production focused on 2008 National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day conference. It formally introduced AAAA and work to viewing public of unlimited households. Future shows will cover the role of "Churches in Fight Against AIDS",
"Businesses in Fight Against of AIDS" and later "Mothers in Fight against AIDS". AAAA hopes to feature famous celebrities to impact public attention and increase awareness on HIV/AIDS.
ON GOING SISTA TRAINING
HELEN WRIGHT WOMEN SHELTER (RALEIGH)
Mrs. Carine Siltz, AAAA CEO ,conducted training session for women at the shelter as part of memorial fund grant expectation. A total of six (6) women took classes to be outreach educators completed April 13th.
HARBOR HOUSE INC. (SMITHFIELD)
Mrs. Siltz, CEO of AAAA, fielded five (5) women for training as outreach educators. Empowering women to take charge of their lives and helping others to do same to broaden the network in fight against new infection rate. HIV/AIDS prevention education saves lives. The Catholic Charities of the Raleigh Diocese funded project.
AFRICAN HAIR BRAIDERS PROJECT
African and African-American women are the most vulnerable targets of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The statistical death rate stands at 87% of rate of infection. Fashionable hair styling especially African hair braids put women braiders in touch with clients for an average of 6-8 hours. Women engage in topics of HIV/AIDS at hair salons to spread the word and deepen the knowledge of prevention and self-preservation. AAAA will conduct training for hair braiders as outreach educators at African World of Braids, Braid and Locks, Yoyo Braiding World, African Hair Braiding School, Maty's African Hair Braiding Salon and African Nubian Queen salon. AAAA's African Hair Braiding project starts in May to train 15 hair braiders. The project is funded by OMHHD.

On Hwy 70 East, Garner generated 325 honors. AAAA table exhibited AIDS/HIV literature, passed out fliers, free condoms, sold raffle tickets. AAAA website listed event on WSHA-FM radio plus a newspaper feature. 600 discount coupons flyers were distributed.

Was videotaped by Dr. Arcaro with special statements from AAAA board members. AAAA donated 132 sets of assorted children clothing and $1000 cash to support orphanage as joint project with

Fuquay-Varina. With an estimated 5000 attendants, AAAA drew 600 to its booth. The booth passed out AIDS/HIV literature plus AAAA agency brochure; distributed condoms. Network civic and church organizations.
